CHANGE...

Today I realized that Ella is moving farther from being a baby and closer to a little girl. She can verbalize, sign, or show what she wants and/or needs most of the time. She can climb up or on things easily and with less help. She can figure things out that surprise me every day. She picks up on things quickly and copies/imitates us. I am amazed every day by her! Her learning and her personality astound me. She is such a character! Today she was on a mission. I was sitting on the couch with my feet propped up on the coffee table. She walked over and touched my feet, then said "sooz" (which means shoes). I told her I did not have my shoes, "where are my shoes", I said. She wanders off. I though surely she will not come back with my shoes. To my surprise, she did. I was amazed! She wandered off again and came back with the other shoe. So I put them on. Then I asked, "where are your shoes?" She wanders off to the big shoe basket in the kitchen. Keep in mind Ella has a lot of shoes and has quite the shoe fettish. She comes over to me and hands me a matching pair of shoes. She sits down, I put them on, and she takes off for the front door. A girl with a mission, a plan to go outside. She grabs the doorknob, says "toutdide", then signs please. I asked her if she wanted to go outside, she waves at Da-da, blows a kiss, and the rest is history! We enjoyed a nice walk outside before bedtime. What a lovely day and a lovely little girl! Pure amazement!!!
