WHAT A WONDERFUL ONE!

It it so hard to believe that a year has passed. I can still remember anxiously awaiting to hear Ella belt out her first cry. Seems like it was yesterday. We have shed many tears since then, had some temper tantrums, and lots of laughs which far over shadow the latter. She makes us laugh and smile all the time. She is such a silly girl. Yet she is sassy and stubborn, too. We love every minute of her personality. I cannot believe that one year ago, she was like a pet rock and now is a communicating walking little person. I could not imagine life without her!

People always ask, "So what is she doing now?" and the most popular question, "Is she walking?" She is not walking yet, but is getting very close. She can take six steps at the most. She can cruise around furniture with ease and squat down to pick something up then stand again. She stands unassisted for a while, too. She is turning into such a little girl. She layed on her belly to play with a toy one day, it was so cute! She loves to try and sit in her Bumbo seat. She has not mastered it yet. We can yell "hooray", and she will throw her hands above her head. It make me laugh! Ella loves to be upside down. She will just babble while she does it, so silly! She LOVES to look at books and will sit and turn pages for a long time. Ella likes music and will dance and clap when it's on. She is off of formula-yea! Ella loves her milk and is taking it well from her SIPPY cup. I admit though, I cannot let go of my baby. I still feed her a bottle once a day. It's hard to let go. Maybe once she is walking, I will do it.

She loves to snuggle and give us hugs. I just have to say, she gives the BEST hugs. What a way to brighten a day! Ella is moving on up. She is in the 30%tile for weight and height, but 80th for her head. What a noggin! She went from 7 pounds 2 ounces and 21 inches long at birth TO 19 pounds 8 ounces and 28.5 inches long. Ella has grown in so many ways. We look forward to but are slightly scared about having a toddler. Good or bad, we will cherish every minute of it! She has really enriched our lives and brings such joy to our hearts. We love you Ella!
